Welcome to Peking University Third Hospital (PKU Third Hospital). To help you complete your registration and visit smoothly, please follow the steps below.

1. Register with Your Passport & Obtain a Medical Card (Real‑name Registration)

• Via the PKU Third Hospital App: Download the official "北医三院" app (available on iOS and Android). Use your passport to complete identity verification and create your electronic medical card.

• In Person at the Hospital: Bring your original passport to the registration window at the main campus (49 Huayuan North Road, Haidian District) to verify your identity and obtain your electronic medical card. This is recommended for first‑time foreign patients.

Note: All patients must use real‑name registration. If you are a medical insurance holder, please link your social security card. As a self‑paying foreign patient, you do not need a social security card.

2. Book Your Specialist Appointment

You have three options:

A. Online Appointment via App or WeChat Service Account (Recommended)

• Open the PKU Third Hospital "北医三院"App or follow the "北医三院服务号" WeChat service account.

• Navigate to Online Registration → Select "Sports Medicine" (运动医学科) or directly search for shoulder & elbow surgery specialists.

• Appointment availability: Online appointments are open for the next 8 days (including today).

New slots are released daily at 3:00 PM (Beijing time).

• Same‑day check‑in: You can collect your appointment from 7:00 AM onward. Morning appointments close at 11:30 AM; afternoon appointments close at 4:30 PM.

• After booking, you will receive a QR code. Use it to check in at the clinic on your appointment day.

B. Internet Consultation (Online Text/Image Visit)

If you prefer an initial remote assessment, use the "Internet Consultation" (互联网诊疗) feature inside the PKU Third Hospital "北医三院" App. You can upload images of previous MRI reports and discuss your condition with a doctor online. If necessary, you can ask the specialist to make an in-person appointment.

3. Important Reminders for Your Visit

• Documents to bring: Original passport, any prior medical records, imaging (MRI/CT scans), and surgical reports related to your boxing injury.

• Fees: Self‑pay patients pay the medical service fee at the time of booking. No additional fee if you return to the same doctor for result interpretation on the same clinical unit.

• Privacy & accompaniment: Only one family member is allowed for patients with mobility issues. Do not enter the consultation room during the examination.
