Research Findings from Professor Cui Guoqing's Team at the Department of Sports Medicine, Peking University Third Hospital, Selected as One of China's Top Ten New Advances in Clinical Orthopedic Diagnosis and Treatment in 2024

        On June 6, 2025, the Symposium on New Advances in Clinical Orthopedic Diagnosis and Treatment was held in Shanghai. At the symposium, China's Top Ten New Advances in Clinical Orthopedic Diagnosis and Treatment in 2024 were announced. The research finding by Professor Cui Guoqing's team from the Department of Sports Medicine, Peking University Third Hospital, titled "Short-term complications after arthroscopic coracoid transfer: A prospective study of 308 consecutive cases after surgery by one surgeon," was selected. This study internationally pioneered the embedded coracoid transfer surgery—Cuistow. Compared to traditional surgical methods, this surgical method increased the bone healing rate from 74% to 96.4%, significantly reduced complications, and 97.4% of patients resumed normal exercise.
