The team led by Professor Chen Yahong from the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Peking University Third Hospital, in collaboration with the team led by Researcher Wang Kai from the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Peking University, published a research paper in the authoritative respiratory journal European Respiratory Journal, titled “Lung-targeted HGF mRNA Restores Alveolar Structure in Experimental Emphysema.”
This study revealed the dynamic changes of the HGF/c-Met repair signaling during the progression of emphysema, and validated the role of lung-targeted delivery of HGF mRNA in improving alveolar structure and lung function, providing new experimental evidence for the regenerative repair treatment of emphysema.
Dr. Chen Dian from the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Peking University Third Hospital, is the first author of this paper; Chen Yahong and Wang Kai are co-corresponding authors of this paper.
