The first national standard for quality management of Assisted Reproductive Technology in China, the Specification of Quality Monitoring and Evaluation of Assisted Reproductive Technology (DB11/T 2487-2025), which was led and formulated by Peking University Third Hospital, was officially released on September 23, 2025, and will be fully implemented starting January 1, 2026. The standard, established against the backdrop of Beijing's "Reproductive Health Promotion Year," strengthens reproductive health empowerment and improvement to provide quality assurance for infertile families, thus helping to promote the standardized development of the industry.

The local standard, guided by the Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation and the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, and led by the Beijing Municipal ART Quality Control and Improvement Center (Peking University Third Hospital is the Chairman Unit), for the first time establishes a core quality control index system covering 20 indicators throughout the entire process of "Technology—Management—Laboratory—Follow-up." The standard emphasizes scientific formulation and highlights operability, achieving "monitorable standards, measurable evaluations, and improvable methods" for technical services. Against the policy background of Beijing taking the lead in incorporating ART projects into medical insurance, this standard focuses on formulating clear quality supervision specifications for potential comorbidities and complications, which will further upgrade and refine the construction of the fertility support system and enhance service accessibility.
