On September 29, 2025, the National Key Laboratory for the Promotion of Female Fertility at Peking University Third Hospital published its latest research findings in the journal Cell Research, titled: "Molecular basis of vitamin K-dependent protein γ-glutamyl carboxylation".

The study provides a new theoretical framework for the early monitoring and precise treatment of Vitamin K metabolism-related diseases, laying the foundation for intervention strategies such as small molecule drug design and gene therapy. This achievement expands the understanding of the multiple physiological and pathological roles of Vitamin K in bone metabolism and pregnancy complications.

Research Fellow Hang Jing, Academician Qiao Jie, and Professor Song Chunli from Peking University Third Hospital, and Professor Tao Lin from China Medical University are the corresponding authors of the article. Postdoctoral Fellow Zhong Qihang from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Peking University Third Hospital, Dr. Chen Dandan and Dr. Xu Jinkun from Peking University School of Basic Medical Sciences, Dr. Li Yao from Tsinghua University School of Life Sciences, and Associate Research Fellow Yuan Wanqiong from the Department of Orthopedics, Peking University Third Hospital, are the co-first authors.
