On the afternoon of November 12, 2025, a delegation led by Professor Prema Raj, Director of the DUKE-NUS Transplant Centre, SingHealth, and Senior Consultant, Department of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery and Transplant Surgery, visited Peking University Third Hospital. Jiang Xue, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and Director of the Office for Scientific and Technological Achievement Transformation, Peking University Third Hospital, attended the symposium. He reviewed the history of cooperation between the two parties and stated that since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding this year, they have jointly applied for intergovernmental international scientific and technological innovation cooperation projects, achieving substantive progress.
At the symposium, the Department of General Surgery, Peking University Third Hospital, shared the clinical achievements of the Liver Transplant Center and the experience in living-donor liver transplantation and complex re-transplantation; the Department of Urology introduced the experience in robot-assisted kidney transplantation; and the Clinical Epidemiology Research Center showcased its R&D layout of AI in scenarios such as assisted diagnosis. SingHealth presented its leading practices in robotic surgery for liver transplantation, small bowel transplantation, AI prediction of transplant complications, and cross-institutional data collaboration platforms. The two parties discussed joint research platforms under the "Asian Transplant Federated Learning Network," hoping to deepen pragmatic cooperation in areas such as organ transplantation and transnational joint research. Subsequently, the delegation visited the Innovation and Transformation Center.
