Peking University Third Hospital Won 2 Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Awards for the Year 2024

        On November 7, 2025, at the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Awards Conference, the project "Key Technological Innovations and Application of Diagnosis and Treatment of Shoulder Dislocation" led by Professor Cui Guoqing's team from the Department of Sports Medicine, Peking University Third Hospital, won the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award. The project "Key Technological Breakthroughs and Application of Biomimetic Ice Control Cryopreservation of Germline Cells and Complex Tissues" led by Research Fellow Yan Jie's team from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, won the Second Prize of the Technology Invention Award.

        Professor Cui Guoqing’s team developed the Embedded Coracoid Transfer (ECT) technique and corresponding domestically produced instruments. To address the complexity of shoulder dislocation combined with injury, they invented four shoulder examination tests, among which the Hug-Up test and ABERR test have been included in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Guidelines as high-quality research.

        Research Fellow Yan Jie’s team revealed a new mechanism of ice control by natural antifreeze proteins, developed efficient ice control molecules and safe, low-toxicity cryopreservation materials, and successfully formulated a series of cryopreservation reagents applicable to germline cells and gonadal tissues, significantly improving cell viability and technical stability after cryopreservation and thawing.
