The National Science and Technology Major Project "Study on Risk Stratification and Treatment Strategies for Chronic Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction" Project Launched

       Recently, the launch meeting for the Major Project on Four Major Chronic Diseases "Study on Risk Stratification and Treatment Strategies for Chronic Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction," led by Peking University Third Hospital, was held at the China National Convention Center. The project is jointly undertaken by 28 domestic leading institutions including Beijing Anzhen Hospital and the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University, adhering to the core concept of "Prevention—Screening—Diagnosis—Treatment—Rehabilitation," integrating multimodal data such as imaging and multi-omics, and introducing Artificial Intelligence technology to build a multi-disciplinary tiered management system.

     Deng Rui, Deputy Director of the Office of Scientific Research, Peking University Health Science Center, and Yan Liying, Director of the Office of Scientific Research, Peking University Third Hospital, respectively stated that they will provide support and guarantee. The project team specially invited Professor Ma Changsheng, Director of the Heart Center, Beijing Anzhen Hospital, to serve as the Chief Consultant, and Professor Zhang Jian, Director of the Heart Failure Center, Fuwai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, to serve as the Head of the Expert Guidance Group, and invited more than ten national experts to form the Guidance Group.

       As an important component of the project, the "Heart Failure Full-Course Management Collaborative Network," jointly built and established by Peking University Third Hospital and sixteen national institutions, was founded on the same day. Project Leader Professor Tang Yida systematically introduced the project design and implementation mechanism. The leaders of the respective sub-projects introduced their research designs, and the attending experts suggested strengthening multidisciplinary collaboration.
