Peking University Third Hospital Team Led by Hong Kai Wins First Prize of the Beijing Medical Science and Technology Award

Recently, the Beijing Medical Association issued the Decision of the Beijing Medical Association on the 2025 Beijing Medical Science and Technology Awards. The project Clinical Application Research and Promotion of a Minimally Invasive Surgical System for Male Infertility, led by the andrology team of Hong Kai from Peking University Third Hospital, won the first prize of the Beijing Medical Science and Technology Award.

Since 2009, Hong Kai's team has been among the first in China to apply minimally invasive surgery to the treatment of male infertility. Peking University Third Hospital is one of the earliest institutions in China to carry out such procedures and has completed the largest number of them. The team has actively promoted the application of minimally invasive surgical systems, remained committed to research on the pathogenesis of male infertility, and led the drafting of guidelines and expert consensuses.
