On August 28, 2026, the finals of the First National Digital-Intelligence Health Competition, hosted by the Statistical Information Center of the National Health Commission, were held in Beijing. The project “Construction and Demonstration Application of an Intelligent Follow-up Platform Based on Multimodal Human-Computer Interaction,” submitted by the Information Management and Big Data Center of Peking University Third Hospital, won a Third Prize in the competition.

The competition drew more than 5,000 project submissions nationwide. After multiple rounds of selection, 36 projects advanced to the national finals, where 12 Second Prizes and 24 Third Prizes were awarded, with no First Prize given.

The Peking University Third Hospital project addressed common pain points in the healthcare industry, such as fragmented post-discharge follow-up and disconnected service chains, by innovatively establishing a follow-up governance system and adopting an implementation approach characterized by multi-departmental coordination, data-intelligence-driven processes, cross-regional collaboration, and closed-loop value realization. The project delivered multidimensional value across medical assistance, public convenience, administrative support, and research promotion, saving the hospital an average of over ten million yuan in operating costs annually, raising follow-up coverage to 96.6%, and achieving steady improvement in both patient treatment adherence and the availability of data resources for research.
