Peking University Third Hospital Holds Unveiling Ceremony for Beijing Key Laboratory of Smart Nutrition and Exercise Function Monitoring

On September 6, 2026, the launch meeting and unveiling ceremony of the Beijing Key Laboratory of Smart Nutrition and Exercise Function Monitoring were held at Peking University Third Hospital.
The laboratory is hosted by Peking University Third Hospital and jointly established with Beijing Xiannongtan Sports School, Beihang University, China Agricultural University, and other institutions. With the goal of using AI to enable protection against exercise-related diseases, enhancement of athletic performance, and health promotion, the laboratory is being built around the three core lines of “exercise function monitoring, nutrition and metabolism assessment, and functional nutritional product development,” and is committed to providing scientific and technological support for competitive sports, nationwide fitness and health, and the high-quality development of the sports industry.
Ge Jun, Member of the Party Group of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports, and Fu Wei, President of Peking University Third Hospital, each delivered remarks. Attending leaders and experts unveiled the laboratory and presented appointment certificates to its academic committee members. Jiang Xue, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Peking University Third Hospital and Director of the laboratory, delivered a report on the laboratory's development. Wang Jianquan, Deputy Chair of the laboratory's Academic Committee and Director of the Department of Sports Medicine at Peking University Third Hospital, and other experts held discussions and offered guidance. Two academic forums, on smart sports nutrition and smart exercise function monitoring, were established at the meeting.
