Peking University Third Hospital Participates in 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services, Showcasing Multiple Innovative Achievements

From September 9 to 13, 2026, the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) was held in Beijing. Peking University Third Hospital was invited to participate for the sixth consecutive year.

The achievements Peking University Third Hospital presented at the fair included the “smart wristband watch,” a hospital-enterprise joint research and development achievement from Tang Yida's team in the Department of Cardiology; the “spinal laminectomy decompression surgical robot,” a medical-engineering cross-disciplinary collaboration achievement from Li Weishi's team in the Department of Orthopedics; the “AI lower limb rehabilitation walking-assist robot,” developed by Wei Feng's team in the Department of Orthopedics; and the “fully automated circulating tumor cell detection instrument,” a medical-engineering cross-disciplinary collaboration achievement from Zhang Shudong's team in the Department of Urology. These achievements received widespread media attention.

On September 12, 2026, the Capital International Medical Congress officially opened, and Peking University Third Hospital was invited to participate in several forums. Peking University Third Hospital and SingHealth (Singapore Health Services) jointly held the launch ceremony of the “Peking University Third Hospital-SingHealth Innovation and Translation Cooperation Platform.” At the congress, the award-winning projects of the Medical Technology Innovation and Translation Competition, hosted by the Chinese Hospital Association, were announced. The team of Ji Tao from the Department of Orthopedics and the team of Shao Chunli from the Department of Cardiology, both of Peking University Third Hospital, won First Prizes; the team of Zhang Shudong from the Department of Urology and the team of Xu Yan from the Department of Sports Medicine won Third Prizes; and the team of Yuan Chunhui from the Department of General Surgery was recognized as a Project with Development Potential.

At the China-US Summit on High-Quality Development in Medicine, President Fu Wei delivered a keynote report. At the Medical-Academic-Research-Enterprise Collaborative Innovation Matchmaking Conference, Vice President Li Rong participated in a roundtable discussion.

In addition, the project of Shen Ning's team in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and the project of Shao Chunli's team in the Department of Cardiology were recognized respectively as one of the “Top Ten Typical Cases of Medical-Academic-Research-Enterprise Collaborative Innovation” and one of the “Top Ten Excellent Cases of Medical-Academic-Research-Enterprise Collaborative Innovation.”
