On January 24, 2025, Peking University Third Hospital and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) signed a memorandum of understanding and an agreement to jointly establish the Innovation Research Laboratory for Medical and Engineering Collaboration. At the signing ceremony, President Teng Jinguang of PolyU and President Fu Wei of Peking University Third Hospital delivered speeches. Professor Man Hau-chung, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at PolyU, and Professor Yuan Chunhui, Director of the General Surgery Department at Peking University Third Hospital, each introduced their respective platform advantages and the vision for jointly building the collaboration platform. Subsequently, the two parties officially signed the memorandum of understanding and the agreement to jointly establish the Innovation Research Laboratory for Medical and Engineering Collaboration. Lin Dahui, Chairman of the PolyU Council, and President Fu Wei unveiled the plaque for the laboratory, marking its official establishment.
