First China-ASEAN Critical Emergency Medical Technologies Training Course Held at Peking University Third Hospital

        From June 23 to 27, 2025, the first China-ASEAN Critical Emergency Medical Technologies Training Course, hosted by the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology, and organized by Peking University, was held at Peking University Third Hospital. Academician Qiao Jie, Executive Vice President of Peking University and Director of Peking University Health Science Center, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Researcher Jin Yinzi, Associate Director of the Department of Global Health, Peking University School of Public Health, and Ma Qingbian, Vice President of Peking University Third Hospital, jointly served as the project leaders.

        This training was led by Ma Qingbian and conducted by a core faculty team of 17 members from the Department of Emergency Medicine, Department of Orthopedics, Department of Thoracic Surgery, and Department of Neurosurgery of Peking University Third Hospital. Building upon previously established mature critical emergency care training courses, the training course targeted the training needs of emergency doctors from ASEAN countries, systematically conducting theoretical lectures and practical operations focusing on five key modules: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Emergency Airway Management, Targeted Temperature Management, and Trauma Resuscitation.

        Eighteen emergency medicine professionals from ASEAN member countries including Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam participated in the entire training and successfully completed the course.
