Recently, the first batch of four trainees from the "Peking University Third Hospital - Victoria Hospital, Mauritius, Interventional Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Training Program" successfully completed their studies and returned home. The project was coordinated and guided by Peking University Health Science Center and jointly promoted by Peking University Third Hospital and Victoria Hospital, Mauritius. In 2023, President Fu Wei led a team to conduct an on-site investigation in Mauritius and determined interventional therapy technology as the core cooperation direction.

In 2025, the project welcomed the first batch of trainees. The trainees received systematic and professional clinical training at Peking University Third Hospital: Dr. Dave Mangar, Dr. Gopaul Roodrajeetsing, and Nurse Rajiv Luchmineea completed specialized studies of half a year and two months, respectively, in the Department of Interventional Vascular Surgery; Dr. Mangroo Ateelesh completed a six-month comprehensive study in the Department of Radiology and the Department of Ultrasound Medicine.

Under the guidance of expert teams including Luan Jingyuan, Yuan Huishu, and Cui Ligang, the trainees mastered key skills such as equipment use and safety protocols, handling relevant cases, CT-guided puncture, and ultrasound intervention. The Peking University Third Hospital Foreign Affairs Team provided full-course support to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.
