Li Mo's Team from Peking University Third Hospital Published Findings in Molecular Cell, Developing an "Interdisciplinary Medicine and Chemistry" In Vivo Proteome Labeling Technology

On December 2, 2025, Professor Li Mo's team from Peking University Third Hospital published a research paper in the journal Molecular Cell titled "In vivo proteomic labeling reveals diverse proteomes for therapeutic targets".

Based on self-generated APEX2-EGFPf/f mice and a novel labeling substrate Btn-Ph-3F, the study successfully developed a universal in vivo proteome in situ labeling technology for the first time. This technology is expected to be rapidly expanded to multiple fields in the future, including cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, autoimmune diseases, metabolic diseases, as well as tissue regeneration and aging.

Qilong Wang (Peking University Third Hospital), Yuening Jiang (Beijing Chaoyang Hospital), and Meiyu Bi (Peking University Third Hospital) are the co-first authors of the paper. Professor Li Mo is the corresponding author.
