Teams Led by Zhao Xiaolu, Bi Hongsen, and Mao Fengbiao of Peking University Third Hospital Published Findings in Nucleic Acids Res.: Constructing a Cross-species eccDNA Annotation Resource Platform

On November 22, 2025, the team of Associate Researcher Zhao Xiaolu from the Department of Reproductive Medicine of Peking University Third Hospital, in collaboration with Chief Physician Bi Hongsen from the Department of Plastic Surgery, Researcher Mao Fengbiao from the Center for Basic Medical Research, and Associate Researcher Xiang Xi from the Department of Urology of the Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, published a research paper online in the journal Nucleic Acids Research titled "CircleBase V2: an eccDNA annotation platform across cancers and species". The study achieved the most comprehensive convergence of eccDNA resources to date.

Zhao Xiaolu, Bi Hongsen, Mao Fengbiao, and Xiang Xi are the co-corresponding authors of the paper; doctoral student Wei Ling, postdoctoral fellow Shi Leisheng, doctoral student Wu Ning, and master's student Zhao Hongyu of Peking University Third Hospital are the co-first authors of the paper.
