On December 23, 2025, the team of Researcher Liang Xiaolong from the Department of Ultrasound Medicine of Peking University Third Hospital published the research achievement "Camptothecin amplified self-luminous nanosystem for highly efficient activation of pyroptosis to stimulate antitumor immunity" in Cell Biomaterials.

The novel self-luminous nanotheranostic system developed in this study can achieve synergistic enhancement of photodynamic therapy and chemotherapy, efficiently activate tumor cell pyroptosis, and significantly enhance anti-tumor immune responses, providing a more targeted treatment strategy for patients with middle- and late-stage tumors.

Dr. Wu Ruiqi from the Department of Ultrasound Medicine is the first author of this article, and Liang Xiaolong is the corresponding author.
